NJ Transit Go Bus 28
Go bus 28 provides fast, convenient service for customers traveling between Bloomfield, Downtown Newark and Newark Liberty International Airport. The nearly continuous service, from 3:30am to 2:00am daily, departs every 10 minutes during peak periods and every 15 minutes off-peak. In downtown Newark, the bus operates along two routes, one via Broad Street serving Broad Street Station, (Broadway to and from Bloomfield Avenue). The other route operates via Clifton Avenue/Norfolk Street to serve the Colonnade Park Apartments and University Heights (NJIT & Rutgers-Newark) as well as the Newark Innovation Zone via Central Avenue.
Go bus 28 provides many features to enhance the travel experience. For a faster trip, buses stop only at designated stops and have signal prioritization, which keeps lights green longer so buses don’t wait at red lights. New buses provide upholstered seats with individual lighting and air conditioning controls, hand straps for standees, luggage storage and overhead racks for smaller items. The colorful well-lit and uniquely designed go bus shelters offer information displays and seating while you wait, as well as a welcome facelift to the streetscape. No matter what shift you work, what classes you take or where life takes you along the route, go bus 28 will get you there.
