Welcome From the Medical Director:
I believe that to function well in a college setting, a student must be physically and mentally healthy. Good health, defined as physical, social and emotional well-being is a factor influencing the academic success of any student. To ensure the good health of our students, the NJIT Student Health Service provides quality primary health care to all NJIT registered students who have submitted a completed entrance physical examination form.
As the Medical Director and a board-certified Family Physician, my goal is to care for each student and at the same time make sure that we follow state and university regulations. Each student needs to complete the required physical examination and immunization forms. No student will be allowed to stay in the residence halls without the required immunizations. Students need to make sure they have health insurance that is either provided by their parents or by the NJIT Student Health Plan. The staff is dedicated to providing quality care whether you come in for an illness, immunizations, a physical or just to ask a question about insurance. We will provide health counseling to each student with the goal of making sure that you achieve your health and academic goals.
