New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) has applied for licensing to offer online courses/programs in all States. Pursuant to the U.S. Department of Education’s Program Integrity Rule, an individual may file a complaint against NJIT either internally or contacting NJ Division of Consumer Affairs alleging a violation of one or more of the following categories:
-Complaints that allege a violation of state consumer protection laws that include but are not limited to fraud and false advertising ;
-Complaints that allege a violation of state law or rule relating to the licensure of postsecondary institutions; and/or
-Complaints relating to the quality of education or other State or accreditation requirements.
Students are encouraged to utilize NJIT’s internal complaint or review policies and procedures through the Associate Provost for Graduate Studies, Sotirios G. Ziavras (firstname.lastname@example.org) prior to filing a complaint with a State agency or agencies. NJIT is legally authorized to provide postsecondary education in the State of New Jersey pursuant to NJ ST 18A:64E-12 and is accredited through the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (http://www.msche.org/). Note however:
-NJIT is not regulated in Texas under Chapter 132 of the Texas Education Code.
