A Paid Deposit Opens the Door to NJIT
Your deposit ensures your acceptance is complete. For your convenience you may process this transaction online via tuitiondeposit.njit.edu.
Fall Tuition and Fee Bill
Your tuition and fee statement will be posted to your Highlander Pipeline account in early August. You can log into your pipeline account here: njit.edu/cp/login.php. If you are not paying your bill yourself, you are responsible for setting up “Authorized Payers.” See the NJIT Bursar's website for more information: njit.edu/bursar/.

Upon deposit, all first year students will need to take the Math placement test starting in March. You will then be placed in GUR (General University Requirement) courses based on SAT/ACT scores, high school academic performance, your math placement test score, and curriculum requirements for specific majors.
Advanced Placement (AP) Course Credits
Make sure you have selected NJIT to receive all of your Advanced Placement Scores including any tests taken prior to your senior year. College level courses taken during high school requires submission of an official transcript.
Change of Major
If you were admitted to NJIT with a major you no longer wish to pursue, you must send an email to email@example.com by June 15 to have your request considered.
Purchase or Rent Textbooks in Advance
Students can order their textbooks online from our bookstore and have the books wrapped and ready for pick-up in the fall at njit.bkstr.com.
New Student Orientation
Attend New Student Orientation
After taking your placement test or placement test exemption, you will be invited by email to New Student Orientation (NSO). NSO is a required interactive orientation program. During the program, you will meet current NJIT students, faculty and staff and explore the academic and social skills necessary to be successful at NJIT. For further information, click here.
Parents are invited to attend Parent Orientation
Parent Orientations are scheduled on the same days as Freshman Orientation. Parent Orientation is designed to educate parents on how to support your son/daughter during their first year study. More information on the parent program can be found here.
NJIT Parent Portal
An online tool for parents authorized by your student to view financial information and enter transactions on behalf of your son/daughter. This includes bursar office communications such as students schedule and bills will be sent through email to those authorized by the student. For further information please go to njit.edu/bursar/Parents.php.
Request a UCID: University Computing ID
You will need access to many different programs and systems while at NJIT. To access these systems you need to set up your UCID and create your password at http://ist.njit.edu/quickstart/.

Disability Support Services
Accommodations for Students with Disabilities
Students seeking housing or academic accommodations (such as additional test-taking time) due to a physical or learning disability or medical condition need to provide documentation and schedule an interview with Disability Support Services. Information and forms are located here.
Complete Immunization and Physical Examination Requirements
All students must comply with state and NJIT requirements prior to the beginning of the academic year.
Provide Proof of Health Insurance
All students are required to have health insurance. If you are already insured, you can waive NJIT’s Health Insurance. See website for waiver deadline. Detailed information is located at: njit.edu/healthservices/insurance/index.php.
Information about campus housing and the online application. Applications received by May 1 are guaranteed housing.
Consider a Meal Plan
Meal plan options for both commuter and resident students can be located at: gourmetdiningllc.com/campus/njit/. To request a Commuter Meal Plan contact Dave Arluna of Gourmet Dining Services (firstname.lastname@example.org) or Residence Life at (email@example.com).
Commuter Assistance and Resources Services (CARS)
CARS is committed to enriching the commuter experience by providing services, programs, advocacy and outreach that will help commuter students benefit from NJITs entire educational experience.

Obtain a Parking Permit
Register to park your car on campus at njit.edu/parking/. You must have an active UCID in order to register.
