The Department of Biological Sciences at New Jersey Institute of Technology seeks a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Organismal Sensing starting August 2013. We are seeking an individual whose research utilizes techniques for detecting, monitoring and/or tracking organisms with the goal of understanding ecological processes at any level of organization, from the individual to the biosphere, and who will leverage collaborative opportunities at NJIT for technological innovation. Methodological approaches may include, but are not limited to, traditional remote sensing techniques such as satellite imagery and GIS, or alternative approaches such as RFID, machine vision, sonar, and radar.
Candidates should hold a Ph.D. degree in Biology or a closely-related field and possess a strong enthusiasm and ability to teach broadly. Outstanding candidates will possess strong research interests with proven experience and scholarly accomplishment, the ability to sustain a strong externally-funded research program, and be eager to collaborate with colleagues from related disciplines.

The Department of Biological Sciences seeks outstanding candidates to apply for a tenure-track Assistant Professor faculty position starting in August, 2013.
We seek a researcher with experience and scholarly achievements in cellular and systems neuroscience. Interdisciplinary candidates who work on non-mammalian model systems and use genetic, functional genomics or proteomics approaches to understand neurophysiological processes are of special interest.
Consideration will also be given to applicants at a higher rank who have demonstrated research accomplishments and an appropriate level of academic excellence. Women and members of under-represented minorities are strongly encouraged to apply.
