1.1 Admissions: To admit students likely to succeed at NJIT and graduate in a timely manner, from baccalaureate degree through doctorate level.
1.2 Retention: To develop retention models for each major.
1.3 Graduation: To identify information and response required to achieve and maintain designated graduation models for each major.

1.1 Profile of first-year success for each major through cognitive, intrapersonal and interpersonal domains.
1.2 Retention path analyses by major through attention to curricular and pedagogical design, student performance, and support services.
1.3 Graduation path analysis by major at milestone events to ensure timely graduation rates.
1.4 Path analyses of career patterns within professions.
1.5 Analyses and use of student satisfaction surveys.
1.6 To support student success, develop a financial model that becomes an integral component of a fiscally-responsible financial planning model for the university.
Report Card: Each fall and spring, profile and path analysis reports will be used by key stakeholders of the 48 undergraduate majors to meet admission, retention, graduation, and satisfaction goals.
Use of measurement to align admission processes, curricular design, academic services, and student satisfaction in order to achieve agreed-upon models of admissions, retention, and graduation.
