Learning Communities

Living Learning Communities provide an environment that enhances motivation to learn, stimulates learning in specific areas of interest, and offers opportunities to work closely with staff and faculty. NJIT has many different living learning communities that students can participate in. 

Cypress Hall

  • 4th Floor – Architecture Floor (First Year & Upper class)
    One person in each room must be an Architecture major to reside on the floor

  • 5th Floor – Engineering Floor
    One person in each room must be an Engineering major to reside on the floor

  • All Floors - First Year Connections (FYC)

Honors Residence

  • 3rd - Part of 4th Floor - First Year Honors Students

Oak Hall

  • 8th Floor – Graduate Floor
    Students living on the graduate floor must be enrolled in a graduate program for the fall 2016/spring 2017 or must be 23 years old at the beginning of the fall 2016 semester.
