Winter Term Policies and Procedures
Winter Session Policies and Procedures
Winter Session is approximately a three-week term between fall and spring that provide students the opportunity to earn up to four hours of academic credit. Registration begins October 17 and ends December 23. If you have any questions, please contact the Office of the Registrar prior to the end of Winter Session registration.
Mathematics Courses Special Criteria
Students must have earned a grade of D or better to qualify for any winter math course. Students who have withdrawn from their math course will not be permitted to enroll in the course during the Winter Session. All students wishing to take a winter math course must sign up for a winter permit request located on Math website at: http://njit.edu/permits.php. Humanities Courses Special Criteria
You are eligible to register for Humanities 101 or 102 if you received a grade of D or F.
Physics Courses Special Criteria
Students registering for Physics courses will need to obtain a permit from the Physics Department. Students registering for Physics 111 must have passed Math 111.
Chemistry Courses Special Criteria
You are eligible to register for Chemistry 125 if you received a grade of D or F in Chemistry 125. This course is intended for students who need to repeat the course.
You can register for only one course.
Winter Session tuition and fees are due on December 21, 2016. If you choose to defer your winter session bill, it must be paid at the same time your spring 2016 payment is due. Failure to pay will result in the cancellation of your spring 2017 courses. For more information about billing, please visit Bursar's website at: http://njit.edu/bursar.
Using the parking deck is free with a current NJIT ID during Winter Break.
